Embracing Change: Introducing Atabey™ & Co.

In April 2022, I founded Boundless Audio (BA) with two other members, envisioning a podcast network that would empower underrepresented voices. However, by August 2022, it was just me carrying the vision forward. The network faced numerous challenges throughout 2023, as I struggled to find the time and resources to fully dedicate to BA. Despite these hurdles, the mission remained clear and unwavering.
By August 2023, realizing the need for support, I put out a call for a business partner. That's when I found Brittany, whose passion and expertise perfectly aligned with mine. We met for the first time in October 2023 and officially became business partners in January 2024. During this period, we discovered that
, the founder of WOC Podcasters, was considering closing its doors. Recognizing the importance of this community, we knew it aligned perfectly with our mission and decided to acquire it in February 2024.The journey to this point has been filled with both challenges and triumphs. One significant decision was our rebranding to Atabey & Co. We initially planned to keep the name Boundless Audio, but trademark issues led us to rethink our identity. We chose Atabey & Co., inspired by the Taino ancestral mother, Atabey, symbolizing nurturing love and fierce power. This name also honors our Puerto Rican heritage, highlighting the strength and resilience of women.
Our rebranding process was meticulously crafted, with Shannon Sheehan creating a new look that embodies our spirit and mission and Storytella Studios finding our perfect brand voice. The WOC Podcasters Community® has also been rebranded to match Atabey & Co., bringing it fully under our umbrella while preserving its core values. This community remains a vital space for Black and brown women to learn, grow, and support each other.
We are thrilled to announce that our first network show, "Sleeping with Sonja" launched its trailer today, with full episodes dropping on August 6th. This marks the beginning of an exciting new phase for Atabey & Co. Additionally, we are currently running a Summer Sale through August 30th to join the WOC Podcasters Community®, offering valuable opportunities to engage and grow with us.
Our journey has been a testament to the power of collaboration and the importance of staying true to our mission.
