Meet Talib Jasir, Founder and CEO of Afros & Audio
Talib Jasir is a master at weaving tales, a published author, a podcast producer, and a staunch supporter of community strength.
Growing up as a twin in Baltimore, MD, Talib's early adventures took him through the wilds of Maryland’s Eastern Shore, guided by the wisdom of his great-grandmother. Raised by a community of bold and spirited individuals, he soaked up the importance of family bonds, the warmth of love, and the powerful impact of words.
Talib has made his mark as a creative force with a career spanning over 15 years in marketing and advertising. He's the brain behind the Afros & Audio Podcast Festival and the Vanguard Podcast Network, showing his knack for pioneering spaces where Black voices can thrive. As a life coach certified in two disciplines, Talib dedicates himself to uplifting fellow creatives, podcasters, and entrepreneurs. He boasts a BA in Public Policy/Urban Studies, Africana Studies, and Social Justice (Summa Cum Laude) from St. Peter’s University in Jersey City, NJ, showcasing his academic excellence and commitment to social change.
